That was interesting. The Stick and staple construction didn't hang on very long once they started banging the coach. The busses have a more ridged body frame so there is better longevity.
Would hate to see a GMC out there. Our body frames are better than Sticks and Staples but nothing like a bus. the now known " mid age bulge " that the GMC suffers indicates the body frame might not fair out well in this type of derby, but still better than Sticks and Staples.
Their twist of a recovery vehicle for space was interesting. they used a pickup, added some wings and a parachute, strapped it on a fuel rocket and launched it into the sky with a amature team of rocket enthusiasts.
At launch, the rocket and " Space Vehicle " thrusted up to the sky but when the vehicle was supposed to separate and open the parachute, nothing happened, the vehicle remained attached to the rocket and they did a beautiful arch in the sky then plumetted down together to a spectacular end. Not much left though. They commented " Now How can they use the vehicle after a landing like this?" lolol
Their take on amphibious vehicles was, well interesting as well.
