Just bought a 19" flat screen TV/built in DVD player with many imput &
output jacks in the back. There are also 4 surface mount nuts built into the
back of the unit. I have had the front ceiling down when I was chasing leaks
and installing speaker wiring and a Sirrius roof mounted antenna. There is
easily room between the headliner and the roof to install any kind of a
mounting system strong enough to mount such a unit as I have described. Also
no problem concealing a 120 volt power supply. Kelvin has grafted a GM
ceiling mounted console that looks as if it would conceal such a unit also.
I know that he has pix showing the install. How about it, Kelvin?

My only concern would be hitting your head on it, even when up, getting to the front seats.

I agree. I also tend to hit the mirror and so do friends. Of course, one
could learn to duck a bit more. I'd wear a hat during the training phase.

I believe Jim Bounds has done this on a coach or two. He might be able to advise you on what he found. I remember he used some actuators to raise and lower the tv from a switch.

And I thought bashing my head into the mirror on my way to the seat was my own!

Jeremy,

You are correct. When I was down there last summer one of his guys was
working on the installing the LCD TV in the 26' Duramax coach. IIRC it was a
BIG one which I'd guess was around 30".

It raised and lowered on electric actuators from inside the front cap.
