Hi Jeremy,
Some of you guy's hijack a thread and it's hard to follow ,most netters just
delete a thread that doesn't apply to them.
I replaced my rear wheel bearings and races,about five years ago the next
year I put about 4,000 miles on my Coach.
I'm fanatic about my Drum Brakes ,they never worked good..so each season I
would remove the Brake Drums and the Wheel Cylinders for leakage ,after
4,000 Miles the grease ,Mobile 1 was black, instead of red ,in the front
rear ,the Rollers were pitted ?it was just the outside Bearing ,the inside
was good..
I replaced both., all the others were OK.
If I had used the black grease I wouldn't have known I had a problem.
When I bought my coach everyone was recommending Mobile 1 even Archie..
Look it just takes about 6 hours to check the grease plus the Brake Cylinder
in all four Wheels, that's if ,you have about 5 Beers.
Time well spent each year.
Sometimes you cant trust ,a paid Mechanic ,sometimes ,you cant trust
,yourself.

Coach is at Southland (Zeb Frady's shop). Was odd because I didn't have any
warning. No whining, jolting, screeching, nothing until it just let go with
a big jolt and some black smoke. Almost tore the wheel off the coach. Was
very fortunate that I didn't cause an accident since people in Atlanta drive
like donkeys. I'm belching smoke in the second lane from the right shoulder
and had to go a couple hundred yards while some idiot happily sat in my
blind spot instead of moving out of the way. Was waiting to see the wheel go
rolling past
