Yesterday we made the trip from Billie's home, in the car. Teri kept telling me to turn the tracking system off. She does not like it. Anyway, she claimed it would be good evidence against us in court. I laughed and kept going. This afternoon I go into my friend's office to pick up some mail he was picking up for us.
He said, " I tracked you all day yesterday". " Do you know that thing puts your speed on the screen?" I laughed and told him it was not reliable. He laughed, " I hear ya".
So, just don't mention our tracking system to Teri at Patterson. She says too many people are looking at us. The little Vibe will role right along. Once I pop it into 6th gear it is hard to hold the thing back.
Ken Burton is bringing a coach back east from Jim K's place. I am waiting for his tracking system to pop up so we can ride along with him.

I am not sure DC. I think they will roll in the morning. Just talked with Ken on the phone. Once he is rolling I will stick a note here so folks can see where he is.

Thanks, Ken.

Is there some sort of "convention" for SSIDs
depending upon vehicle, usage, etc.? I built
a Tiny-Trak quite a few years ago but never
put it into operation.

Yea, out in Quartzsite in January at the week long hamfest. That is where I learned about the system 3 years ago.
One neat thing about this stuff is I can always tell which store Teri is shopping. When she has been there for an hour I call and tell her to move along. Now, you know why she hates my tracking systems. Very Happy

Bob, if you really wanted m&m candy, you should have hollared. I could have bought more than the 16 pounds out in Quartzsite. I have pretty much consumed those things.
Got a call from Ken, he may be rolling soon.

Desmond,
He is picking up the one that we bartered with the dye maker that has
been doing work for us.
It is a 73 26' unit that Miguel at MGM had for sale.
It has new Amer. Eagles and tires, New Zip Dee awning.
It has all the fuel lines and hoses replaced and all the front end
parts replaced.
I was really disgusted to find that this unit is not handling well.
I would like to have kept it another day to see why it is behaving the
way it is.
They needed to get back, so they had to draw the line.
We know it does not seem to use oil, about 1/2 qt, 500 miles.

You will have to forgive me for probably what will be a stupid question but
How do you track someone? Do you do it through your computer or is it a
special device?

Serge, All GMC owners have a chip imbedded in their brain so that when you
break down everyone will know where to find you. The chips are usually
imbedded during a GMC rally when you are asleep.

Ok well that makes sense, I will not need one since you can always find my
GMC, anytime, It is in my driveway and might be there for a long time at the
rate repairs are going.

Seems like every time I touch something on it it needs to be fixed or
repaired.

Thanks for the info, if I ever get to rally I will try not to fall asleep.
