I tried to take the back off of the dash to remove the radio. The back does not clear the window. I removed the glove box but I could not reach the back of the radio. How should I proceed?
I need to replace the radio and speaker. I want to replace the radio with one that has Bluetooth, USB plug in and Aux plug for external inputs. Not sure what would be best option for a new radio and speakers?

Art,
I'm sure GM put that back on before they put the windshield in. Most of us have cut away a portion of the lip on the left end in order to make removal possible without breaking anything. If you have a Dremel tool you can do that by holding the left end up and cutting away that portion of the lip where it curves downward. The back will then come out more easily.

Art,
Another hint is to get Doris or a someone to look in the window while you struggle to get the radio out. With the full view they can direct the process with one of those fun conversations in which everyone says, "What?" repeatedly. I found it helped to go out and "study" the whole thing so you can understand what you are trying to feel when you reach back there.
