G'day,
Here's a link to the LOCAL GMC SERVICE PROVIDER
RECOMMENDATIONS list on Billy Massey's website:
http://www.bdub.net/GMCServiceComments.pdf
As you can see the only ones listed in New England are in New Hampshire.
The closest REAL GMC specialist to Boston is Ken Frey; his contact details
are:
Frey's Automotive
1669 N. Old Bethlehem Pike
Quakertown, PA 18951
Tel: +1 (215) 536-1246
Email: freykjgmc@yahoo.com

You are correct there is a special tool required to change the wheel
bearings.
Also IMHO you REALLY don't want to borrow a tool and bring it to someone who
has NEVER changed a set of GMC front wheel bearings, doing so is looking for
trouble.

Hi folks. I'm in Boston and need a new wheel bearing and a bit of front end
work. Can anyone recommend a mechanic in this region who has experience with
GMCs? And, am I right in thinking that whoever changes a wheel bearing has
to have a tool which is unique to our motorhomes...?
Thanks all
Richard

Richard,
Check with Mike Glover, Plaistow, NH (Southeast corner of NH) He is about 50 miles away from Boston and has repaired GMC MHs for many years. His info can be found on the Black list. Good luck, enjoyed your blog.
