Right after I purchased my 2004 Diesel Pusher I was determined to change
the tank sensor systems, so I installed See level tank monitors, all I can
say is that after a few months I had the same problem reading my black and
grey tank as I had with the old system. I was disappointed and wish I had
never made the change.
Sorry that's my two cents, take it for what it's worth.

Serge, have to say that's disappointing to hear. Did you ever dig into the problem and find out why? Can't understand it. With the OEM gauges, the internal float and lever can easily get rusted or fowled with TP/crap, so failure can be expected. But with the SeeLevel, the gauge/sensor is on the outside, so I can't see why it would fail, especially if it worked initially, meaning tank wall thickness wasn't an issue. Any ideas? Did the sensor strips come un-stuck from the tank?
I'm at that place where I need to do something. Pulled the fresh water sender and it is rusted stuck and the float rusted off. Suspect the same in the black tank. New senders are $120 ea, and again suffer from same failure mode, so I was really excited to see the SeeLevel with an external sensor solution and 3 sensor strips for $170 including a new monitor panel. Will be totally bummed if it doesn't work.
Any additional info on why your install failed will be helpful. Thanks.

Yes, I called the company a few times, they claimed that the inside wall of
the tank was accumulating goop (for lack of a better word) and it affected
the thickness of the tank walls which in turn effected the readings. They
told me I had to keep my tanks cleaner, everything I tried failed and the
tanks kept giving me the faulty readings. Prior to installing that system I
had the one that most trailers and motor homes have, the senders were
attached to the tank from the inside and the wires attached to the outside
and go to the gage, in fact I have a 2009 travel trailer parked in my back
yard now that has the stud type system and when the tanks are empty the gave
shows empty, like it should. Sorry I am probably not using the proper
terminology but I hope I am explaining so it can be understood. But the
stud system can also give faulty readings when the tanks are dirty.
If I had not cut a bigger hole in my wall to insert the See unit and thrown
away the old system I would have put it back in my Motor Home.
This has been my experience, maybe they have improved them since 2004.
