* “What’s Up” with Electronic Fuel Injection?*
Tech Session - Randy Van Winkle with Bob Drewes
The objective of this seminar is to provide an introduction into fuel
injection for the GMC Motor Home. A discussion of some of the benefits of
fuel injection along with simple explanations about how the computer
controls the fuel and spark advance. Much of the session will actually show
the computer controlling the engine and “learning” how to best meet
requirements of the engine. Results of testing with lean cruise and how to
get better mpg will be discussed. Tuning tips will be provided during the
session.

Watch for more updates on an exciting convention to be held Sunday, April 10
- Friday, April 15 in Patterson, Louisiana.

Kim, tell them to start basic so I can get up to speed. I am ready to convert from the Holley Projection to the ebl.

Dan,

I can't speak for Bob D. (he always does a quality job), but since I'm doing some of the presentation, it will have to, by necessity, be basic Smile. Should be fun! Probably won't be a complete "how-to" for converting from the Projection system to EBL but, hopefully, a good intro and tutorial for EFI. Plus some good information for all the Carb guys too - lean cruise, Power Enrichment, all applies to carburetor-ed engines. Just ask questions - that is always helpful to everyone.

Randy, I knew that would bring you and/or George out.
I need yall to help me a bit to get started. I have the computer, dist, and a throttle body drilled for a screw in stepper. Need some basic info to get me going. I had other things on my mind last Fall when yall did such a good job in Du Quoin. Mr. Drews is such a nice guy that I know I can corner him and get some info.
See yall there.

Dan;
Randy and I will try and keep it basic, but after doing over 30 seminars for GMCMI, I have found it is a real squeeze to get most of the material covered in the time frame of the seminar. The topic of fuel injection is a category that is a real challenge to keep it basic, because in order to show how "this works" it involves digging a little deeper into another level.

Just ask questions if you don't know and we will try to explain. The best thing going for this subject is that fuel injection works, especially if tuned correctly. Hope to see ya all in Patterson.
