Teri and I rolled out of Tucson about 10 am. Everything went fine with the engine, new front axles, and rear braking system. I love those brakes. My air inlet hose, to the TBI, got down on the alternator so had to stop and reroute that thing. Our a/c is not working. When I turn it on I get a sound like a machine gun. We thought it was a line bumping the floor so John moved them a little. Now, I know that is not what it is. Maybe the oil ran up into the head of the compressor while it was hanging upside down. I will give it a few days and see if it starts working again before I do anything drastic. We needed air today but no big deal with the floor vents. The engine performed great. I think we have a keeper here this time. The trip was 175 miles to our daughter's. Will hang around here a week or two and head across Tx.
Thanks for all who were "rooting me on". Kept me from getting depressed.

Dan,

Does your dash air work?

I re-routed my floor vents (4" flexible dryer hose) up to
the back of the blower box.
Much cooler and way better air flow.

Cost about $25

Thanks for the comments. I am taking a day of rest here. Will get to this problem in a day or two. Just enjoying being alive and having no real problems in life today.
