Thanks for the "heads up", I ordered one as I have the perfect place to try it. Every May a group of us go camping in Pismo at the North Beach State Campgrounds, there are tons of open signals but signal strength is so low that netflix really drags.... we will see and I'll post the results.

As to wireless N standard -- keep this in mind. You may be able to operate
at that speed but if the access point you're going through is still
supporting B and G you'll still be at the lower speed. And, if that AP has
lots of traffic whatever capability you have just went south.
I'm not trying to disappoint anyone but I do believe the expectation level
needs to be clarified.

AND if the access point you connect to supports N, B, and G you would hope that you are home free. You are until someone else connects to your same access point at a slower speed. Then the AP shifts to the slower B or G speed to accommodate them.
One other note the faster the connection speed the shorter the range.
I'm not trying to talk anyone out of buying these. The previous versions have been very good for longer range connections. I assume they are using the same receiver in these and they ought to operate well.

Ken, thanks for throwing in that kernel of truth. I thought about it but
didn't want to sound too depressing. As Dan pointed out, it was still a good
price.
My experience so far is that not that many wireless hosts have N capability.
And of those that do there are always G users on board to pull the speed
back for the sake of compatibility. Like 4G for cellular, in a few years
everyone will have upgraded equipment and N will become more pervasive.
