Remember the bad eHow advice on towing a GMC... well this one might top
that. Removing a propane oven. He recommends "Apply silicone caulk to the
hose hole to give an airtight seal if you are not adding a new stove."
Seriously? or in the words of the cool kids today "Really? Really?
OMG". Yep, good advice... put some $1.99 silicone caulk in the open pipe
and then apply 80 psi of pressure. Go to sleep knowing that you have done
the right thing. If you wake up, try a match to see if it worked.

It's just a good example of poor writing.

The end of "Step 4" is removing the hose. The caulking in "Step 5" is to cover the hole in whatever panel that the hose went through and be sure to seal it well. If this was one of my students, I'd make them re-write it.

the author never addresses what to do with the propane line, which is dangling, uncapped, outside the RV.

Why would anyone remove their gas range and not replace it with anything?

Presumably, there are still propane devices and an LP system.
