I just saw a portable propane campfire for sale at Costco for $100. I'll post a picture when I get home.

Okay I've posted the pictures. It's $99.99 and looks like a nice one. It has its own ignitor, so no need for a lighter, and seems sturdy.

Check it out <http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=5711>

Nope. Mine was the "Little Red Campfire" and I think it cost about the same. I like mine, but I thought I'd pass this along to others who might want the gentle ambiance of a campfire without the soot or smell.

Besides Costco has a great return policy!

Larry,
Strictly for asthetic value. Very little warmth. I have one.

Jerry Work had one of those things at our Christmas Rally in Wilsonville, Or
in December. We were having open houses and wine & snacks at various
coaches. It was crystal clear out and about 25 or 30 degrees. His open house
was the best attended by far. I don't know what brand his was, but that
sucker put out quite a lot of heat. Made for a very tight gathering under
that awning.
