Well, the investigation of my coach continues! While changing the oil today, I discovered that the right side bushing for the front stabilizer bar was completely missing!
That might have added to my steering issues.
My questions are:
What bushings should I order (CAN I order?) Are they the same as the Toronado? Are there equivalent bushings available?
Second, As the end of the stabilizer bar is wider than the bar itself, I assume that these bushings don't have to slide over the end of the bar to their location under the bracket. Are these bushings split so that they can be fitted over the bar in place?

JimK @ AppliedGMC carries the bushings. As far as I remember, they are split so they easily slip over the bar.

Have I ever mentioned how amazing the depth of knowledge and the willingness to give it away IS on this site?
Too bad I won't be able to get them in time for installation this weekend. This 3-day weekend would have been perfect!

Robert
Go to Autozone -- they did stock them locally.

If you want the correct parts without guessing you can go to our site
as we supply only GMC MH parts and know what you need.

I like the idea of the bushings with the grease fittings, but is that overkill? Would it make any difference?

That is fine with me. He will get the correct parts the first time this way. I gave him AutoZone as a source because he wanted it this weekend.
It looks like I should be out there to visit you in a couple of weeks.
