Which model and brand do you like?

I am looking for one which is both portable and affordable.

I ordered 4 of these because they work great, with out any other
connections or drivers, etc

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LPV6LY/ref=ox_ya_os_product

Cisco-Linksys WRE54G Wireless-G Range Expander - REFURBISHED

these were $24 each (refurbished) free shipping.

I now have 5 and I carry 2 for rallys

I installed one of those at Al Samsel's in Bean Station a few years back. It's antenna was NOT removable. I installed one somewhere else but do not remember where. It is a decent short range repeater. Most of these repeaters only work with the same brand of access point up stream. That is the only way I have installed them. I see that the write up claims it will work most 802.11B and 802.11G access points so this may not be an issue with this one.

Be aware that working through a repeater drops your throughput speed in 1/2.
