Good evening all,

As I start working on my GMC I expect to have a lot more questions! Hope you don't mind!

I seem to remember a thread on the forum talking about how to bend/unbend the side door to make it fit better. Unfortunately, I can't find it. My side door doesn't fit perfectly and I would like to see if I can't make it fit a bit better.

Any suggestions?

Bob

Once you've got the curvature correct, the final step is to install one of
the Bill Bramlett strikers now made by Bert & Faye Curtis and sold by JimK.
I still can't believe how much of an improvement it made to the operation
of my already good door.

I would invest in the striker bolt first. I got one and that cured my door from being hard to shut. Just gently close it now. I never recurved the door after getting the new striker. I could not believe what it did.
