We were toying with the idea of getting the coach out for the GMCES rally in March - then Mother Nature told us otherwise.

The mound next to it is my 66 Rambler wagon. Actually a work committment will preclude going to ES rally. That and two daughters getting married a month apart in the Fall will put a serious dent in the cash flow

Don't remember what a 66 Rambler looks like. Still don't.
Also sorry about the negative cash flow. Just give them some money and let
them elope. They'll be ahead and you will, too.
We'll miss you. ES should be having a rally in that direction in a year. At
least, that would be a good plan.

Wow, nice cars, I remember them from my child hood, errr, when I was just a couple years younger than now, err, uh, yeah.
I had an 83 AMC Eagle SX4... WHAT A FUN LITTLE CAR!!!
They hit the nail on the head when they built that model, 2 and 4 wheel drive, selectable. 6 cyl and it LOVED TO PLAY IN THE SNOW...
Mine was RED with black trim, 5 spd manual trans, fun, fun, fun...
When Chrysler absorbed AMC, they discontinued the AMC model of Eagle and built their own model, rear wheel drive, UGH!! their bad.
AMC struggled for a long time to exist, hoping to find that one car that would put them over the top.. But the Eagle was a good un.

The Eagle was nice! My Uncle had an Ambassador Wagon like that pic,
though dark metallic brown IIRC. Loaded, and a very nice car.

Totally Agree
My daily drive is a 1982 AMC Eagle 4x4 limited Wagon.
It rides like a limousine, all leather, even the passenger seat is powered.
We like lots of you in the US of A have had a record amount of snow.
Edmonton being a northern city still hasn't figured out how to remove
the snow. Making dollars pulling cab and and ambulances out, and other
freebies.
Chrysler made a mistake but kept the Jeep.

Byron - that just ain't gonna fly. It is every daughters job to have the wedding that her mother wanted but couldn't have because she (the mother) was having HER mother's wedding when she got married. So Wayne may want to give cash to elope but momma just isn't gonna let that happen!

Martha and I tried that with her daughter. Didn't work. So, even having the
mother on your side (and thinking straight), it still doesn't work.
As we tried to say, the dress and the photos don't make the marriage any
more or less real. It also doesn't make the marriage work.
But, what do parents know.

I noticed a trend a long time ago: The more expensive the wedding, the shorter the marriage.
I think the total price on our wedding was about $20. That was 1980.

Almost 20 years ago I gave my daughter and her intended a fixed amount of
money with instructions that it was all theirs -- for a ladder or a wedding.
They spent most of it on a wedding. That must have been the right decision
because they've now got two daughters of their own approaching that decision
age. :-)
