Ok, so I'm doing a Google Earth search of Dailan, Liaoning, China, Looking for their Aircraft Carrier, when I came across what appears to be a twin engine passenger jet, either Boeing or Airbus, apparently within feet of the water, and no air field in the area. I haven't come across mention of a crash, but that shadow is awfully close to the plane.
If I knew how, I would link directly to the site.

Mitch,

If you zoom out you'll find that that airliner is on approach to Dalian
Airport.

Dang! I just didn't pull back far enough. But the shadow makes it look as if it were with feet of the water.

Hello everyone,

I wrote a few days back that I had just gotten a 1973, I registered today.

I have been reading all of the correspondence over the last few days and
have enjoyed all the chit chat, but I have really enjoyed some of the
information that has come across.

I live in Deming, New Mexico about 15 miles from Downtown Deming, at the
base of the Florida Mnts. On 5 Acres, lots of parking but only one extra
hookup.
The 1973 26' Canyon Lands was purchased out of Tucson, it had been parked
for about 5 years, the owner lived in New York and just left it there.
It took us 3.5 hrs to get to Tucson, AZ and 12.5 hrs getting back. We were
worried about the dry rotted tires but all our problems were fuel related. I
ended up putting a 5 gallon gas can next to me on the floor with a fuel line
going directly to the fuel pump. All we had to make sure of was that we
could find a gas station within 50 miles for the next 200+ miles.

It needs major work and it has been named my Hobbycraft for now. My wife
calls it the Barbie Mobile because it is now an ugly pink & mauve.

If any one is ever down this way, we are about 75 miles west of Las Cruces,
NM off of I-10.
I have a complete hookup 30 or 50 amp, waste and water. Rockhound State park
is one mile from my home and so is Spring Canyon State Park.
Lots of off road areas to play in and 30 miles from Palomas, Mexico.

Welcome Serge, Do I detect a litte French Canadian in your accent. As a
Canadian I have not heard the name Serge since Serge Savard played defence
for the Montreal Canadiens back in the day. I believe SteveF from Sierra
Vista indicated the the Saquaro Jet Setters GMC club would be having a rally
in Silver City this year. You might consider hooking up with those folks.
While not belonging to that club I have hung out with them and they are a
fun group.

Thanks

Welcome Serge! I'm new here too and only arranging the financing is slowing
our purchase of a 26' GMC There's a very good chance we'll be coming to
Deming from the west for the Hatch cut-off. I've a son in Tucson and there's
a very special coach we've our eye on in the Phoenix area. I looked at the
info on the coach you purchased, but I need a ready to roll, not a project,
GMC.

I don't want to take the road through Payson, Heber, Holbrook, and Gallup
for my learning to drive it on the way home trip. I do have 139k driving in
my GMC Sonoma and 150k in other motorhomes. And it's a much flatter route,
'cept for Texas Canyon. If you are ever up this way we have 30 & 50 amp
service here in Rio Communities, across the Rio from Belén.

Adiós. . .

Serge,
Welcome to the zoo, you will find this group a great asset.
When you want to start a new topic it is better to send a brand new email instead of copying over an old one as it seems your post is buried in a thread about searching for airplanes on google earth!
Put up some pics and let us see what you've got.

Serge and Vivian,

Welcome to the nuthouse! Laughing

I have done the same with the gas can. (I used a 6 gallon outboard motor tank with an outlet fitting built in.) Sometimes you have to do what you have to do! My coach had also been sitting for years.

Deming looks to be a short day's drive from Phoenix. (Might be a nice stop for our "grand tour" that is currently being planed for next spring.) From the satellite view it looks like there was an air base in Deming at one time and there is a grid of roads (with few houses) to the east. Having a little land is good...

Good luck with your GMC.

Je demeure à Montréal. Je crois que ce Forum vous sera très utile!!! J'ai acheté mon GMC transmode il y a 3 ans et tous les
membres du Forum sont très aimables !!!( Sorry gentlemen, I couldn't resist a little French for a former Montrealer !)

Hey, we ain't all slow! I know Jimmy K drives his twin turbo coach towing a
7000# van behind at well over 70. My GMC with the 403 doesn't like to run
55, it is much happier at 70+. It gets better fuel mileage at that speed if
I am not bucking headwinds. and finally, Old is a state of mind.
