Good Afternoon

Lisa and I are getting ready to contact Topeka Graphics to get our coach
painted.

Does anyone know where I can have some design work done for our paint scheme??

I had a plan for the whole paint job but it got nix'd, now we've agreed on a
general concept but I need to have it detailed and sketched with colors defined
so I can give the detail to Topeka.

Thanks for any help you can give !

OH...... -12 F here today when I left for work......dang !!!!!

Try Byron Songer for paint design. He is President of GMC Eastern States.

I always thought one of the most attractive coaches was SteveF's --

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showgallery.php?cat=5105

"Eleganza" -- but I am not much on the slashes, dots, swirls and such -- they all seem to take away from the classic lines of the coach and are better meant to break-up the slab sides of huge SOB's.

Send Byron a sketch, and hold on to your hat when you see what comes back! I can only hope my coach will look as good as his rendering.

As for Topeka, Larry W rolled in next to me last week, and his paint looks marvelous. I can only hope my painter in AZ does half as good a job.

Ray, I believe Larry @ Topeka Graphics has picture of coaches he has done before for you to get a scheme. Also, I've been told he and his wife can help in the design. http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/showphoto.php?photo=36016&title=rightsidefrontview2010&cat=7

Thanks for the compliment and for the recognition of my youth. I haven't
been called a boy in many years. By the way, 64 sucks. In thirty years I'll
let you know if 94 sucks.

Ray,
Whenever I finish a classic car (and our GMC) and it's time for paint, I
check out new cars for color combinations. Just find the one that really
grabs you and take the paint codes off the info plate that is usually
fastened to the door jamb on the driver's side. As for schemes, go to a
convention or rally and steal the one you like the best.

Steve: I agree. That's what I did. The manufacturers spend big bucks with designers coming up with complementary color combinations. So why reinvent the wheel?

Byron,

I think you are looking at it from the wrong way...

Imagine being 94, would your "64" suck?

Something like "Is the glass is half empty or half full?"

Coming from someone who doesn't even know if "54" sucks....
