Hillbilly mechanic neighbor of my follks, near Spring City, TN, put a 455 in
a VW in about '77. No unnecessary body work, including no firewall. Scary
noisy!

I remember back in the 70's there was a Dino Ferrari replica that went
on a VW pan. Sure enough someone stuffed a 455 in to it. Top speed was
155 MPH. Makes my heart go pitter patter just thinking about
it..........Terry

Doesn't that sound good!! I should record that and play it on my
headset as I drive my GMC.<VBG>.....Don't you just love the workman
ship?? The frame is a work of art. I bet he could sell rides in that
thing. And yes, I have watched it a couple times........Terry
