OK - Ken Henderson is out of town and I have cabin fever. I've had a noisy starter on the Onan for a while and I want to repair it. I'm looking to see if the bracket is broken. The battery is disconnected as well as the shore power. The starter has been removed and I'm looking at the bracket. It seems to be intact but probably needs to be removed and cleaned up and painted at the very least.
I only see 2 accessable bolts holding the bracket on. Surely there are more. Does accessing these bolts require pulling the flywheel? One of the visible bolts has not been removed yet. It is a little tricky and I don't want to waste my time and knuckles on that if it is going to require more expertise than I possess.

Stick, my bracket was loose. I had to pull the flywheel to get at the additional nuts and bolts to tighten. Bought a cheap wheel puller at Harbor Freight. Not that big of a project.
Good Luck.
