Does anyone watch the show Hoarders? Have you seen the 2 GMC's in 2 separate episodes? One is sitting with a bus beside a huge garage full of junk,

the other is in the man's garage and they find it while they are hauling out junk..

I would classify it as a true collector.

I agree with JimK -- just because a collector has a lot of projects and spare parts stored -- now we have to disparage them with name calling.

Hey, I resemble that remark! I'm pretty sure most people who have seen the inside of my garage, with the possible exception of the members of this list, would think I'm a "hoarder"

Y'all haven't seen MY garage, for sure! It houses a
"collection" (horde?) of ham radio stuff gathered over
a 57 year span, lots of motorcycles and detritus, and
now GMC stuff. That's just one reason why folks think
my wife of 50 years is a candidate for sainthood!

My wife has been wanting to "organize" my garage for years. Ha, I would never be able to find anything! I must admit, however, that it would be nice to have some space on my "workbench" to actually do some work sometime. Embarassed

I've seen that show a few times. Its amazing the way that disease can get so out of hand. I read a web article few months ago about a large woman over 450# lifelong hoarder, passed away in her sleep, when the emergency responders showed up there was no way to get her out, the passageways in the house were so full, so they ended up cutting a hole in the roof to hoist the body out.

i thought the exact same thing. i could use those folks to come clean my house out now. my friend watches that show and told me about the gmc's. I cant stand those cleaning shows where they throw out the people's stuff. most of the homes have enough trash they could throw out and keep the good stuff, but the tv people cant tell the difference. i live in the house where my mom grew up, and ive been here 10 years alone. I would put money on the fact that there is more crap stacked in this house in 10 years than they ever had in the 25+ the 4 of them lived here. And some of mine is good, most of it is junk that im trying to haul to the garbage can.
