I have been looking at buying a project PB and like my previous PB, I want to upgrade to Alcoas, or, if not Alcoas, some other nice looking wheel and 16" tars (we in the Ozarks say "tars"). In putting the numbers together on this particular rig, I called my previous supplier and they informed me that the Alcoa Classic 160231 is "obsoleted" and no alternative is available from them. I know there has been considerable discussion on wheels on this net but can someone give me the nickel tour on wheels? As for the tars, I remember going with Goodyears on my old PB, like a G159 IIRC. What is the tar of choice now? What is a good budget for "tars"? Thanks.
