All,
I've traded notes off-net with people who attended our 1st luncheon about gathering up in January, and it seems like it will work well. I proposed some potential dates of Jan. 22nd, 23rd, 29th or 30th. So far the feedback has been Saturdays work better than Sundays and the 22nd works better than the 29th. As might be expected, no one date works best for everyone.
Not wanting to restrict attendance to those who have come before (or to SE Michigan for that matter) thought I would throw it open to the broader net to finalize details. If there is a groundswell of support for a date besides Jan. 22nd, that's fine. (Could even move out to February if needed).
Also, haven't finalized locations yet. Thought I'd see if we could attract some Hoosiers or Buckeyes before setting that, but otherwise, somewhere around the 275/96 intersection works fairly well. Of those who responded by e-mail, there was a preference for a menu restaurant rather than a buffet, so I was thinking of something like a Cracker Barrel or Olive Garden might work.
Finally, I was thinking this would be a car-based rather than motorhome gathering, although if someone is feeling bold that's okay with me. Mine is staying tucked away for the winter though.

January 22nd remains the best date to have this. (We will definitely have another one in the spring.). So, let's say Noon on Saturday the 22nd, at the Olive Garden on the Southeast Corner of I96 and Novi Road. (43300 Crescent Boulevard, Novi, MI 48375).
I haven't gotten a great deal of feedback on restaurants, but I like Italian, better than Cracker Barrel, so we'll give it a whirl!
