Has anybody installed one of these? I bought a set,
but there were no instructions as to placement of
the attachment pivots.
Seller states that he had sold them previously to a
"Dennis" from Texas, and had some pictures from that
chap, but has lost them and Dennis' identity.
I don't really want to drill the door or frame until
I get some good info on where to drill. "The Money
Pit" (wife calls it the money pig) has a latch to
hold the genny door up, but I can easily envision
that latch getting bumped and me getting the hatch
slammed onto my mostly hairless head! NOT GOOD!
TIA (Thanks In Advance)

Hi,
I bought and installed a set on the generator door. I was well pleased so I ordered another set for the LP gas door, due to arrive today. Very easy to do. You need to make some metal backing plates for the door part. I plan to mount the door part closer to the hinge(door hinge at the body) so it will open higher. I mounted the other one about 3-4 inches from the hinge and it opens15-20 degrees more than horizontal. Careful mounting the other end on the body. If you mount it too high up onb the door frame, you may not be able to close it. I mounted the door first and then figured out where to place the end, acounting for closure. If you wait until I get the other one installed, I will give you exact measurements on where I installed them. Probably ion the next day or so.
