Ken,
For the cold climate people, there is a heating cord one can wrap
around the masserator and cover it with insulation.
You have not camped until you have done it in 10-20 F.

This weekend in the low 20s and teens sure helped us find the drafts! And where we really need to insulate!
Glad things will be coming out smoother now for you! Passing ice is tough thru the old plumbing! lol

Was 12 degrees this am. Not what I came here for. Got up to 50 and that is what it took to thaw 3 days of ice. What a great feeling. This is the second time since we have been coming here that it has hit 12 degrees. Neighbors reported 6 degrees. Ken, I never plan this, it just happens. Sure glad I have the Wave 6 heater.

Ken,

Helen and my sentiments EXACTLY!

While it doesn't get as cold as Dan is reporting in Sydney it still gets
cold enough for us to head for the Northern Hemisphere in June and not
return for three months!

Irene's comment: "but when ours froze it broke."  On our trip after the freeze, I could not get the pump to work as it was sucking air through the crack in the pump area.  I now know that If I had sealed it with epoxy, silicone, silicone tape, or duct tape it would have worked fine after the break.  A just in case solution, not to discourage you.

Check the local hardware for a short heat tape to wrap around the pump or the line near the pump to thaw it with 110 volts.  Works easy when plugged in (auto thermostat) or will thaw it in a several minutes using the inverter when ready to pump in cold times, or when driving in sub zero (Celsius) temps.

Look forward to the Quartzsite visit.  We are working on curtains this week.  Irene insisted that we clean and paint everything that would no longer be seen when the curtains go up.  Go figure!  I think we will tow the Jeep so we can do some boon docking.

We will want to visit the LED booth to check out Teri's sales techniques.  I bought some lights there last year and they were the best!  I think we are two generations ahead of the technology available a year ago.

Doug, I dont plan for this to happen again, this is twice. I broke the impeller the first time. This time I let it thaw on its own. This is a brand new maserator. I have another one under the bed as a spare and two at home. I come prepared for problems with the thing as I have had many. I now have quick disconnects on it so its a 5 minute chore to replace. It seems I am the only guy to have problems with the thing but all in all, it beats a 3 inch hose, which I have used only twice in my life.
Life is good, temp is already 42 degrees. At 60 I go to work on the master C.
