Whew, what a day, decided to drive the Coach to play golf, had not been driven for two weeks, Coach ran great, had a great day on the Course, needed one more Birdie to shoot my age, put lipped out, oh well, still won most of the money. Had to stop ar Walmart for some stuff, the Coach still ran great, noticed the Air/Fuel mix running near 16, could not understand that, left Walmart and needed to get Feed for the Animals, just as I was turning into the Feed Store Parking lot, the engine died, restarted while still rolling and then died as I rolled to a stop in the lot.
Got the feed, checked all the simple things, had fuel, no spark to the plugs, had power to the Distributor, so I changed the Module.
Started right up, (good to have spares), drove about 1/2 mile and she died again, this time no restart so had to coast to a stop on the edge of the Highway.
Now this is a Rural two lane with lots of Truck traffic as well as what seemed to be everyone and his Brother who had a Horse Trailer or Off Road Vehicle going North as well as SOBs and Tractor Trailers coming South.
The Coach is rocking from all of this traffic as I lift the hatch and start my research, did not have another Module, so called my Neighbor who always has GM parts, he was busy replacing a Axle for another Neighbor and said He would be here in about a hour.
Here I sit real close to the road, just praying that everyone pays attention, Flashers on, so while I am there, I decide to check some other items like the Neutral switch et all.
While I am under the Dash, WAM, (lots louder) tires screeching, all kinds of noises, I climb out from under the Dash, look out the Windshield and here is a whole Wheel Assy sitting in front of my Bumper, another wheel is across the street, parts of vehicles everywhere. I know that the Coach has been sideswiped and am just sick.
When I get outside I see that nope, the Coach is not damaged, although there are all kinds of parts laying beside and under the Coach, no damage.
There is a Pickup with a 5th wheel sitting on the side of the road without any front wheels or axle. Heh, I know where they are, the Axle ended up just under the Passenger side Bogie. The wheels as mentioned earlier. There are a total of 5 vehicles involved in this Accident that happened about 1 foot from my Coach. The Driver of one of the Trucks involved said that he was really surprised that he missed me.

So, my day of almosts, good game, almost shot my age for the first time, maybe Monday. Almost had the right parts, who would have figured two Modules going South in one Day. Almost got the Coach home on the spare, less than 2 miles, and almost had my Beauty wrecked.

I am thankful, going out and buy three new Modules, a new Neutral switch, at least two Coils.
Heh, I might have to have the Coach reweighed.
