ELKHART, Ind. -- Atwood Mobile Products LLC reached an agreement today to
acquire the privately held Fan-Tastic Vent Company located in Imlay City, Mich.
Fan-Tastic Vent is a market leader in 12-volt powered vents, selling primarily
to the recreational vehicle market.
Penny Milks, president of Fan-Tastic Vent, stated, "We have chosen to sell to
Atwood as they hold to the same high standards as Fan-Tastic regarding customer
service and quality, and the two companies together will bode well for the RV
industry."
With this acquisition, Atwood will further strengthen its breadth of product
offerings to the RV OEM as well as to the aftermarket. Atwood is currently a
leading supplier of ranges, water heaters, furnaces, chassis hardware, entry
doors, windows, LP and CO alarms, seating hardware, LP tanks and roof ladders.
"Fan-Tastic Vent is an exceptionally well-regarded vent manufacturer that we
believe will be a great complement to Atwood's current product portfolio", said
Atwood President Tim Stephens. "Their strong market share position built upon a
reputation for quality and customer service makes them an excellent addition to
the Atwood family".
Richard Kingdon, executive vice president for Atwood, added, "The purchase of
Fan-Tastic Vent aligns with Atwood's long-term strategy as we seek ways to
better serve customer and end-user needs through innovation, product development
and strategic acquisitions."
