While we are discussing brake performance -- is there any data or other comments on the braking performance of the GMC with the Hubler front end conversion? I understand that it comes with 12 inch rotors -- can the rotors be easily replaced as on newer vehicles?

I got one,,works great. Stops good. Changes easy. You can carry a spare hub thats small and light. My rotors are drilled, slotted and tin plated, no rust. Did I mention I like the conversion or could you tell. Call Jim K. By the way,,, I did the math and its LESS than rebuilding with standard GMC parts,,,,,,PL

Dennis,
That really IS another data point we need badly. Because of the
obvious deficiencies in the rear suspension/braking system, we
concentrate most of our efforts on improving rear braking. Fact is,
the front brakes do, and always should do, most of the work. Even if
we were all suddenly endowed with Super Hydroboost and Reaction Arms,
giving us the ability to lock up all four rear wheels, we'd still have
less than optimal braking. Unless that also allowed the front brakes
to lock up -- BEFORE the rears. Which is HIGHLY unlikely.
Will the Hubler upgrade with 12" discs enable us to obey the old axiom
that the front brakes must lock up before the rears to prevent
"swapping ends"? If it does offer braking that good, we should be
hearing a lot more about it. If it doesn't, why not, because the
potential certainly appears to be there.

We have many who purchase component parts from us and find that there
are difference in the knuckles they aquired and the splines of the
costant drive axels.
When we assemble the complete kit, we tend to have more con
