Anyone have a estimate of how long a original refrig should run off of a house battery? I have 2 Trojan 6 volts in series in the coach. Trying to figure out the dry camping thing. I know I want to get a new refrig in there that is a 3-way, but I have other items I could spend the money on as well. Trying to pace myself.

Thanks,
TG

Rob Allen put together one of the most thorough articles ever written on this subject. You can find it at:
http://www.bdub.net/Refrigeration_in_the_GMC.pdf

This is probably much more information than you need, but Rob does bring up some other things to consider.

Tom,

Take a good look at the amps / watts the 12 VDC feature draws on a three way
I think you'll be running the fridge on LPG when you dry camp.

Tom, I'm running the Norcold on 12v. The batt will last overnight, but it is a 1300 amp. It also depends on how well the door seals work; mine are bad and I'm currently replacing them with standard foam seal type stuff, hoping that I get more time on the batt.
