Tuesday night's forecast says the temperature will fall below freezing at about 9pm and decrease to 22F at dawn in Dunnellon, Florida, near Ocala.

It seems to me this might result in freeze damage near the water pump.

Should I drive south to avoid this possibility? I cannot easily reach the drain valves.

Dave

PS I know such things cannot be predicted with precision, but has your GMC survived such below freezing temperature excursions?

That is as good a reason as any to head for Key West next week.
Much more fun than the usual method: drain the water and waste tanks then fill the pipes with pink antifreeze. Have a Cuba Libre at Sloppy Joe's for me.

Hardie,

Yes, the adult beverage of choice. Maybe Dave could ship some of those up here to "freezing our butts in NW Ohio" too. Think I'll go celebrate our anniversary right now with one!

Which anniversary, Shot?

Judy and I will hit #50 on New Years Eve.

And Cuba Libres are also our favorites!

Just 23 for us - but if you add the other(s), I might have you beat! Laughing

Sometimes it just takes a while to find the right match.

Dave, if you are living in the coach you should be fine as you'll have the heat on. Teri and I have survived 12 degrees a couple of times. Our maserator froze up and busted the rubber impeller, that was it. I could not get to the thing to wrap it. The first morning we had ice in the lines in the bath. That day I insulated all under the sink and wrapped a lot of lines, that I could reach. 2nd day I had no ice in the bathroom water lines. Our water pump is under the bed along the passenger side wall. I opend the door to it and made sure heat was traveling to it.
So, I doubt you will suffer any real problems.
Dan
