What a terrible thing to do to a classic motorhome :-( If it's so
"AWESOME" why not close the roof vents and contain the full effect?

to each his own. I tore off the old bumpers and bolted on U channel. Someone changed mine into a tailgate lift before I bought it.
The beauty of the GMC is that it can become whatever you want.
