Randy,

As a staunch believer in the KISS principle I don't think I'd complicate the
system with this item.

Your manual Boost switch will allow either battery to direct power to the other battery.
This one appears to only allow the aux (house battery in the GMC) to supply power to the engine battery.

What happens when your house battery is too low to start the Onan?

I doubt that this automatic one will work in both directions.

Better stick with your manual switch. How many times have you used the boost switch anyway? Not to hard to just push the switch when needed and no additional expense and possibly another part to break down.

In my case I have a dedicated genset battery, but I understand that most are not set up that way.

Wouldn't this prevent the possibility of the boost switch being left on (in the non-momentary boost switch) and does this bypass the boost solenoid all together or simply act as a smart switch?

If you have a non-momentary boost switch the best thing that you could do would be to replace it with one or else take apart your switch and make it into a momentary switch.
