I found an exact replacement switch for the momentary contact SPST switch for the windshield washer. The terminals are spaced correctly for the plug from the wiring harness, so no modifications are needed. The handle looks like the original one.
Replacement is Advance Auto Parts stock number 8595840130. Package is labeled "Dorman 85958"
For reference. the original GMC part number is 702795.
I realize this is a small item, and I don't know if it is worth posting. However, I spent quite a bit of time finding one that would work, and I finally found it on the shelf at Advance. I thought this might help out some other owner.
Now I need a windshield washer motor that will work. Has anyone found one? I want to keep the original tank, and I'm too frugal (AKA - tightwad) to buy one of those tank kits that are available.

Thanks Erv, it is worth posting. The original one is missing in my GMC and the PO installed one that has a little red button. I've been wanting to replace it with an original style one. I'll have to stop by Advance.

No item is too small to post. That saves a lot of time and prevents hacking then connector off the factory loom and saves the factory look on the dash. As far as the WW pump, I left the stock resevour and pump (it's bad) and mounted an aftermarket pump just outside. It was some type of universal WW pump. It was like 3 years ago so I don't remember the part number, but has all worked since.

Why didn't you just use the complete jeep unit as is. That is what I did on mine. The one I got is pretty close in size to the original GMC. The 2 pumps tied together work good with the Lumina wipers.

Sir: I changed to the Lumina wipers and they have 2 squirters per blade. I went to mans mall and found a Cherokee that had rear window wiper. The tank had 2 pumps that mounted in the bottom in 2 holes. $2. I took my stock tank, removed the lid and used the vari-bit I used to taper the wiper arms and stuck it in the hole where I took the new pump out of and wraped tape around what was sticking out as to gauge hole size. I then bored 2 holes in the bottom of my stock tank, put the new pumps with washer outside and screw from the inside. I was planning on hooking both pump elec wires together and using one pump for each side till I grabbed the top and picked it up with the lid off.. Don`t do that it will bust the side out of it....
