I have a 77 pb with ElectroLevel I. The driver's side air bag will leak down in about 3-4 days, while the passenger side stays up.

I finally got around to installing the air bag cut-off vavles which I have had for a couple of years. Now with the valve off, it takes about a week to leak down. So it appears I have a slight leak in the solenoid and in the bag.

I'm trying to figure out now if I need to replace the bag or is this normal? Using soapy water does not show any leaks. I've heard of an "O" ring in the bag. Where would this be? Does the bag nut seal against this ring?

Inquiring mind want's to know! Cool

The part that you screwed the shutoff valve into in the end of the bag is actually a reducer/ adapter of sorts. That part screws into the end of the bag. If you unscrew that adapter you will find the o-ring that you are asking about. Good luck getting it loose if it is rusted. There is nothing to grab on. Probably the best way is to tightly double nut it with two jam nuts and then see if you can turn it that way.
