We now have a 77 Royale, Rear Bath in the family. My brother just purchased. I am having a heck of a time figuring this thing out. Just locating everything hidden in the cabinets is a chore. I think I found an electrical schematic online and now I am working on the plumbing, trying to winterize. Found the hot water tank and will attempt to bypass it. Found the water pump in the back drivers side wardrobe cabinet under the carpet. Can not find the drain for the fresh water tank that I think runs across the rear end behind the cabinets. I can see a drain hose under the coach in that area but can't seem to find the drain valve.

I previously purchase the GMC MH CD on ebay that has all the manuals but it does not contain one for the 77 Royale Coachmen.

Does anyone have a Royale manual electronically they could send me. If not do any rear bath owners have any answers to my drain questions?

Maybe I could contact you offline with additional questions.

Thanks

the drain for the water tank is just under the sink in the bathe room. it's hard to see but it you feel around under there you can feel the end of the tank and the valve has a lever handle. the outlet hose turns with the valve plug.

also in that cabinet are 2 drain valves that are visable.

in the drivers side bunk at the rear are 2 more drain valves.

the hot water heater has a drain cock that is reached from the outside.

scroll down to manuals and see what is there. there are Royale manuals available.

I don't have a Royal but I am sure that the drains are found in the cabinet under the bathroom sink.
I do have a scanned copy of the Coachman wiring and plumbing diagrams for the rear bath Royal and I will email it to you.

The 1978 Coachman manual (covers Royale and Birchaven models, 5 different floor plans) mentions one mounted on the fresh water tank and two drain valve in the water lines. "... inside, near the water tank."

This information matches my '78 rear bath Birch. Your results may vary.

The valve isn't real obvious. It is in the cabinet under the sink. It is up
and to the right a bit. It is small. It can also be hard to twist. It feels
like it's made out of a type of vinyl and will flex somewhat. When I twisted
mine the first time I thought sure it was going to break. It didn't. It'll
also make your thumb or forefinger hurt. It is unlike the other valves which
are real obvious and "real" valves.

Use a flashlight. It'll make it easier.
