A lot of the truck drivers here in the Northwest line the inside of
the wheel wells with indoor-outdoor carpeting or that stuff that looks
like plastic scratch pad. It really minimizes the spray that comes off
the tires. Less spray on your towd without that hoakie hula skirt that
some people attach under the rear bumper.
As for mudflaps:
Washington State Fender Laws:
All wheels of a motor vehicle shall be equipped with fenders designed
to cover the entire tire tread width that comes in contact with the
road surface. Coverage of the tire tread circumference shall be from
at least 15° in front and to at least 75° to the rear of the vertical
centerline at each wheel measured from the center of the wheel
rotation.
Mud flaps just make up the difference between what you have got and
what they want..........Terry
