I installed a sensitized booster i got from Jim Bounds. The process took about a hour it was actually much easier than I thought it would be. And what a difference before I had to stand on the peeddle to make it stop, now it stops like a new car real easy pressure on the peddle. Previously i had installed a aux vaccumm pump and it helped a little, i have since removed the aux pump that is the best $230 I have ever spent. The install: I removed the 4 screws that held in my air controller, you will need a 9/16 flex socket (not a deep one but what they call mid deep) because the stud are a little too long for the shallow flex scokets. Also a 6" extension and I ziped all 4 nuts off without cutting a thing mine is a 75. To remove the cotter pin I used a small side cutter put my hand in the opening for the air controller and cut the old cotter pin in half and pulled it out then pushed the pin out. The master cyl just remove the two nuts that hold the master cyl to the booster, then take the 2 9/16 vertical bolts that hold the brace, then carefually move the master cyl forward and let it sit on the top of the grill, then grab the old booster and wiggle it it will come right out. Now if I could just get the play out of the steering I have ablut 1 inch in the wheel I am trying o determine if it is in the steering box or the intermediate steering shaft. I have just replaced all 4 ball joints, and all 4 control arm bushings

Why did you remove the vac pump?

Are you going to re-install it?

Brian, this is one of those "I told you so", kinda things. Does not improve brakes but sure makes them easy to access. I love that thing I got from Jim K last year.

yah but --- yah but

the vacuum pump has nothing to do with improving the brakes, it just saves
your life when the engine quits. does not matter what booster you have !!!

Brian,
Put the vacuum pump back on the coach! It will save your butt if the
engine quits and your brakes will still work. Never was installed to
help the braking when driving the coach.
