Well, the saga continues, but more serious testing reveals that after
about 10-15 miles of warm up, there's a miss. But it's not consistently
on the same cylinders. The miss moves around. We're suspicious of the
intake manifold. Something may have happened to it after we'd gotten
the crud off of the bottom of it and blocked the exhaust crossover. It
worked great for about a day and a half afterwards. Lots of power, felt
great. We took a trip to the coast to get our pumpkin and the next day
started having power issues and pinging.

Here's the question. We have a full-height intake on there now and a
raised section in the floor for it. I wouldn't mind having a flat one.

What are the advantages of a low profile versus a high-profile intake?

Is a new aluminum one, (Rockwell?) a big enough improvement to justify
the $600?

What would you do/have you done?

Thanks,

DC
