I'm so glad you asked...
I came out of the National Archives Bld in DC once to find a meter maid
hanging a ticket on my wiper arm.
I asked what was wrong since I parallel parked in two spaces and stuffed
both meters with coins and had time left. She cited me for Oversized
Vehicle' I checked to see where I can protest since there was no
cautionary signage . Tix had to be attended to inperson on Tue and Thu
between 10am and 4pm. This was a Wednesday!
When I examined the ticket she had written 1977 GMC on it and I wondered
how she knew the year but noticed it was written in as my tag number. She
apparently picked up my after market FL self designed tag from the front
bumper and missed the FL issued tag on the back. Needless to say, I just
continued on my trip. But then I started wondering if any Floridians
having tag 1977 GMC ever rec'vd an invitation to come to DC!
