Had a great if modest first meeting at TA truck stop in Wilsonville, with Jim Hupy from Salem, Mike Miller from Hillsboro, and myself & Vess from Portland. Don't know Vess' last name, and he hasn't been on the net, though I think we all convinced him to check it out.
Great discussions about everything. Thanks to Jim and Mike for sharing their expertise. Vess & I are relative newbies and mostly just asked questions and soaked up information. For me, being able to meet and talk to people like Jim and Mike that have years of experience on these rigs, gives me hope in the midst of being overwhelmed that maybe everything can be fixed sooner or later. It rekindles my excitement. Thanks guys.
Talked about next meeting in a month or two. I know there are a bunch more GMC owners in the Portland/Vancouver area (Glenn Giere & Dan Winchester are 2 that I've met or talked to), so if you're interested in a mini-jamboree, keep in touch and join us next time.
