My coach is a 78 Birchaven that still has the original buzzbox.

The 4k generator was removed by a previous owner and not replaced.

I am taking a hunting trip to Arizona and will be setting up at my hunting partners place. My intent is to plug in to my friends home.

What problems if any will this cause with my batteries?

Will plugging in cause my batteries to boil over if left too long?

Any suggestions?

It will be my first long trip.

Michael,
Yes.
In a GM fit coach, the buss box is plugged in the electrical cabinet. I don't know if that is true in the Coachman fit Birchhaven. Someone here will know.
Unplug the Buzz-box except when you need to charge the house battery and then use some measurement (like the panel) to determine when to shut off the buzz-box. I will destroy a good battery (BTDT).
If you do not have "Maintenance Proof" house bank, be ready to add water to the bank any time you are on shore power.
Without know a great deal more about how your coach is fit, I can not be more specific.
Please for give me if there are some issues above as I just finished a day removing a finaldrive and transmission and am sort of shot.
