Good morning all
On our trip to Alaska we dried camped several times and it worked out great. One of the fellows I ran into had an airstream trailer with an automatic solar system to keep house batteries charged up. Seems like a great idea and I know this subject has been discussed before but like all good things, we don't read anything that we are not immediately interested in. Has any one installed a fully automatic system on their coach and would like to part with the information. Where to buy, where to look and how much does this system cost. Help would be appreciated

Marcel,
Gary Worobec will be giving his very excellent Solarpower
presentation at the GMCWS Las Vegas rally this month. Anyone
interested in solar should attend. Like he did at the GMCWS Auburn
ralley earlier this year, he will be handing out tickets to attendees
and at the end of his presentation, he will be giving away a solar
panel and controller to one of the lucky ticket holders.

Hi there Steven
When exactly is the Las Vegas Rally. If I cannot make the teck session can
I buy the notes and the information on the Solar cells. Really like the
idea of adding the panels to the roof and doing more boondocking
Thanks
Marcel

Marcel, I am updating my presentation for the GMCWS in Las Vegas, however
the original version from Auburn was posted on the GMCWS web site by Gene
Fisher for download by anyone who would like to see it. Unfortunately some
of the animations and movies don't run because of the formats I used.

Thanks

Marcel, we spend our winters north of Lordsbug, 30 miles, on hiway 70. Maybe we can hook up and you can eyeball our system. It sustains us for 30 days plus with no genereator. Of course it will not run air conditioner. I have 4 panels on the GMC roof that total 300 watts. Very simple to install. No real knowlege is needed to use this and it certainly is automatic. Just follow a couple of rules when installing and you are home free.
