I am relatively new to the GMC, would like to use exterior snap-on window covers on the front windshield and rear window. Does anyone make these or any instructions on how to? Thanks.

Don't know about the rear window cover, but many folks here have used the windshield cover and curtains made by the Guskes (810-987-5788).

Any auto trim shop should be able to make them for you.
I recommend the "perforated" material that will allow
SOME light in, but block 90% or more of heat and UV.
I had them made for my boat (cabin cruiser) and my GMC
"Money Pit" came with them already installed.
The good ones won't be cheap, but the do quite well to
help keep the interior cooler. You might also wish to
have tint film applied to the interior of side windows
that you don't need clear for traffic visibility. I
had that done to the side windows on my travel trailer
(and my house) and that was also a big help in reducing
the heat load on the air conditioning.
