By way of encouragement, it's not that bad a job. We just did the fuel
lines and repaired the fuel senders on the '73. We also have gravel to work on.
We put the beast up on some ramps and put a piece of plywood down underneath
so we could roll the floor jack around to maneuver the tanks.
They're not very heavy when empty. I think the hardest part was probably draining them.
You have to take out the forward tank first in order to get at the bolts to the rear tank.
I suggest getting the fuel lines, tank sender gaskets, and rubber fill line parts before you start.
The usual vendors have all that. The '73 was harder that way because it has pretty weird
plumbing compared to later models.
Since it was so straightforward, I'll be dropping the tanks on the '75 this week...
