I made one this summer. I used the material for a Kooleroo shade.
I won't go into the cutting to shape unless you need it but I did not want any snaps.
I bought some nylon rope and had sewn it into the top of the cover, leaving about 2 feet coming out of theleft side and 2 feet coming out of the right side.
You will attach a hook to the drain gutter where you will tie the rope. You don't need a big hook or a large hole.
Next, sew in a nylon rope along the bottom of the cover, leave about 3 to 4 foot come out of the left and right side. These will be hooked to the frame, under the windows on both sides. the angle you pull it down helps hold the cover tight to the windscreen.
Put the wipers on the cover to keep the bottom down.
If you cut the material a bit oversized, it will conform to the top and bottom and cover well.
