I just picked up a 78 Royale rear bath in survivor condition with only 42,000 miles. Goal is to get as close to day one condition. It’s unmolested except for 12V add-ons like fog lamps, dash mount fan, CB, PA horn, air horns and car phone install with big transceiver box and lots of really bad wiring and switches to all of these. I’ve removed a big ball of wiring, fuses, switches so far. The main loom under passenger hood has had some wires tagged on, some soldered and taped and some “twist and hope” with tape. I want to unplug the main connector, de-pin the bad wires so I can repair properly and add shrink. I have loosened the center bolt and thought the connector would unplug but seems like added clips or snaps are holding it. Also removed 2 long screws from glove box fuse panel hoping to remove that and bench service it. Loose but not coming out. Are there more screws? I can find the wiring diagram but not a pin out drawing of the bulkhead connector like in newer GM service manuals. Any info on this or what section of what manual in the CD sets to look for would be appreciated.
