I started reading this list back in early 1999, about 6 months after I bought my one and only GMC Motorhome.

At that time there was really only one place where you could ask questions and get good answers, the GMCnet.

Since then, traffic has dropped off drastically. As Erik wrote the other day, "This is the only message I’ve seen on the email net in many days.
Seems to be same with others…. Just to let you know".

Back in the "good old days" you could count on maybe as many as 100 posts a day. Now, it appears there might be less than half dozen a day. And most of those posts are from a small group of pretty experienced owners with good information.

Bdub said "-Of course, all dozen or so GMC groups on Facebook are very busy with questions and answers and showing off our work. Verifying and admitting excited new members keeps me busy every day."

A dozen or more groups? If that's true I am missing out on a lot of information since I really don't want to get involved with Facebook.

About the other groups, Matt said "It is discouraging how much information is put forth there that is either at least wrong if not dangerous. It really is a terrible venue for technical information.

This forum is just awful to work on a phone and the new one is better, but many don't seem to have the time to read the books or look for someone that actually knows what needs to happen. "

The new forum seems to have promise since you can post photos and there are downloadable resources among other things.

What do you guys/gals think about the future of the "GMCnet"?
