I had a really BAD experience with cheap inverter generators about 8 years ago. I bought a Honeywell 2K generator and used it at Quartzsite. It seemed to work fine for most of the trip, but wouldn't put out any power by the end of the week. It was replaced under warranty, and the second one conked out after about 30 or so hours, after the warranty period was up.
When my son wanted to buy a HF Predator 2K inverter gen for the company, I was reluctant, but told him to go ahead, and to buy the extended warranty just in case. He has been using it quite a lot ever since (close to a year) and it has performed flawlessly. I'm quite sure it would not power either of my original AC units and maybe not yours either. I would guess the Honda would run your Atwood no problem since a 2K does, but for how long? I don't know what to tell you. I'm guessing it would not be running very efficiently at that load.
Do they possibly make an auxiliary fuel tank attachment for them?
