Have a look at Harbor Freight's heathen chinee 3500 Watt unit for under 600 bucks. They claim 8 hours run time.
Ill note, both the Ryobni and Honda 2KW sets look nearly identical, and botgh are built on the Pacific Rim, neither in Japan.
