I go by the mottos of. 1. Don't mess with what's working well. 2 Are you smarter then the engineers at GM, Ford, or Chrysler? 3. If newer technology's that have come along that weren't available back in the day. Then this newer technology should be properly evaluated. 4. Or if a technology was known, and available. And not used. If it's so good. Why didn't one, or all of the big three jump in? If you properly use the coolants that we have today. Corrosion isn't a problem. Last winter I pulled the intake off my 403. There was no signs of corrosion.

I see synthetic engine oil in a similar way. The standard oils have served us well for over 100 years on our dirty engines. But now these newer modern engine are another type of animal. So to me there. Synthetic is the only oil to use. My 2 cents. Maybe 3. Bob Dunahugh 78 Royale Iowa.
